Hello everybody! \u00a0Miss me?<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n

So in the words of\u00a0Mama Moose<\/a>, “I’m suck.”\u00a0\u00a0Here I promised you all a report on RWA Nationals, and I have completely failed to deliver. \u00a0What can I say? \u00a0I’m really and truly sorry.<\/p>\n

Brace yourselves. \u00a0I’m about to make a lot of excuses.<\/p>\n

You see, things have been a bit rough lately. \u00a0Remember that\u00a0problem with my eyes<\/a><\/span>? It’s not over. \u00a0I had an allergic reaction to some of the eye drops I was using. \u00a0I thought I was better. \u00a0I spent a day having fun with Twitter, commenting on forums, etc. \u00a0But then things got worse and I had to spend a morning in the emergency room. \u00a0I’m doing better, thanks, but I’m definitely not completely healed. \u00a0I’m still in a Benadryl haze and my eyes aren’t 100% open yet. \u00a0Plus, I’m still wearing glasses that are over two years old. Someday, when this allergic episode is just a funny story, I’ll go back to the eye doctor and beg for contacts. \u00a0<\/p>\n

In other words, I’m still “blinder than a bat with cataracts.” \u00a0<\/p>\n

How was that? \u00a0Did I make myself sound pathetic enough for you to forgive me? \u00a0<\/p>\n

As for Sweet Talk, the winner was Tara (and yes, I sent her the book ages ago, I’m not that horrible). \u00a0I didn’t publish any of the comments due to a spam problem. \u00a0I have more books to give away. \u00a0I couldn’t carry them back to NY with me so they’re still at my mom’s. \u00a0When I go home again in December, I’ll have another contest.<\/p>\n

Again, I’m sorry, especially to those of you who have sent or posted nice comments. \u00a0I’ll get back to you and\/or comment on your blog soon now that I’m doing somewhat better. \u00a0<\/p>\n

And I have a bunch of ideas for new posts. \u00a0Tomorrow, I’ll be posting a tribute to Will Write For Wine<\/a>.<\/p>\n
